Does craving for sweets means you will be having a baby girl?

I am a very big believer in that the mother can usually guess what she is having. This does not mean that she can will a baby to be one or the other but deep down they rarely get it wrong. As for all the wives tales? When I was pregnant I got onto a website which had over 100 different wives tales. I completed the 100 questions to be told 93% I was having a girl! And you guessed it I now have a beautiful son. My thoughts were that he was a boy. I find the wives tales and guessing is so much fun and the theories crack me up but the only way to be sure what you are having is to have a look when your baby is born. Scans are very very accurate these days but even they can be wrong. Have a look if you can find the website on the internet it was a good laugh anyway.

No I had such an easy pregnancy , no sickness or anything! Also craved sweets and I'm having a boy!! I did the Chinese calander to and said o was having a girl! All of those wives tales were wrong for me! So you have a 50% shot! All I can say is do you feel like it's a boy or girl, I always thought a boy and at my 18 week scan I was correct! Believe yourself!

I am craving sweets like crazy... and having a little boy. There was no doubt on the ultra sound. So I'd say you have a 50% chance of having a girl with those cravings! =)

I did always call my little one a boy from the beginning, but I'm not sure if that was some sort of intuition or just a habit that formed. My one friend was pretty sure that she was going to have a girl.... and now has a little boy! So you never can really know.

Im not sure its true but it might be.

With my first who turned out to be a girl all i wanted was slushies and apple fritters when i had cravings.

With my twins it was weird. One second i would want a cheeseburger or ceaser salad or salami and the next i wanted a bowl of sugary cereal and i drank a gallon of orange juice a day i couldnt get enough of it. The grossest had to be the Chocolate milk (sweet) With the barbecue chips(salty).... They were boy girl twins.....

It may have some bearing but im not sure.

It is not the craving for sweets decides gender of the baby. combination of X Y Cromozomes that decides the gender of the baby.So I do not think it is right to rely upon such speculations.

not sure its true but you never know. with my 1st*(a girl) i craved crisps. and with my second i couldn't get enough of bombay bad boy pot noodles(2nd was a boy) i think everyone is different with cravings. doesn't really depend on the sex.
