kenmore wash machine series 80 not all the time on final spin cycle it pumps the water out but does not spin?

    Lid micro-switch probably gone bad.

    On a heavier load if the belt is too loose, it may slip and that may be why.

    They do not allways burn when they slip.

    The switch for the lid on most will not run at all if not making contact.
