i have really fine hair as well.
just take a chunk of hair from under the ponytail and wrap it around the part with the band. then secure with curby grips/bobby pins
make sure you use at least 2 grips and kris cross them over so they're more secure, and fix them so the go into the ponytails base.

Use a really thin tie, or even an elastic one that is the same colour as your hair (except that this can damage your hair) then do your hair in a normal pony tail. Take a small section of hair and wrap it around the tie. Then tuck the end securely through the tye at the bottom.
Or, you can do a normal pony tail then pick it up at the tie and kind of push it down through the hair before the tie, if that makes sense lol...

Actually, they sell hairbands WITH fake hair as the rubberband, so you don't use your own hair. If you wanted, though, you could pull it back with a tiny rubberband, leaving a strand out and wrapping it to cover the rubberband, then securing it with a bobby pin underneath the ponytail.

I have a simple way.
Once you put your hair in the ponytail, take a small strand from the underneath and wrap it around the elastic, then pin it on the bottom underneath the ponytail.
Hope I helped.

1) Put hair in a pony tail using a clear rubber band.
2) Take small piece of hair on the underside of the pony tail and wrap it around the clear rubberband.
3) Secure that piece with a bobbypin on the underside of the ponytail.
And there you go. :)

Ones your hair is in a pony tail you take a piece of hair and rap it around the pony tale and get a bobby pin and clip it to the underside of the pony tale. Hope this helps
