Disappointment comes with the territory...or maybe it's a signal you need to come up with a more orignal story! Then again, synchronicity happens and in a sense, every genre of story is a variation or twist on a story that came before it.
If you find yourself at the bar, commiserating with yourself over this, be sure to ask for a "twist" and think about how you can re-write, re-package or re-do your story into one that no one has sold yet!
