How does the author's style impact the reader's experience and ultimately the reader's understanding?
Thesis:
Julia Alvarez's attention grabbing style helps the reader catch all the details that make her stories enjoyable to read.

Good start but you need to narrow it down. The topic is pretty vague. You need to explicitely mention how Julia Alvarez does this so you can argue that in your actual essay.

But how break that into three supporting paragraphs? Maybe what you should say is:
Julia Alvarez has an incredible writing ability; *A*her style will grab your attention, *B*helps the reader catch all the important details, and *C*all in all is just a well written author.
So,
Thesis
*A*
*B*
*C*
then summarizing conclusion. Boom.
