How come there is no freedom of speech anymore?

Every freedom has a cost involved and not everyone can afford to pay the price.  So much for the "free" hey.   When it comes to a person uttering slander they should pay the ultimate price.  Those that repeat or permit slander to continue should also be dragged into the courts so everyone can see them for who they truly are.  

Free speech is only an idea and can and never will be completely achieved. We silence those we don't want to hear. Our world lives in extremes, if something is generally agreed with or generally disagreed with, it will be publicized. Our "free speech" is now edited by others opinions. If someone doesn't like a the wording, the idea, its offensive. My parents lived in a world where you could say things without fear of your job, your life, your future. We need to realize when we disagree with an idea we don't need to disagree with the person if that makes sense.

The great French revolutionary , Voltaire, said 'I may not agree with what a man says, but I defend his right to say it'.

Nowadays, it's liberal or die. They'll defend ignorant things like Cardi B's Grammy performance or athletes not standing for the Anthem, but refuse to step up for Gina Carano and conservatives who are unfairly silenced.
