How much would a tutor for home school be?

I live in Canada. I'm debating whether to be home schooled for one year and that's it. How much would a tutor cost? If I am home schooled it will just be for the next grade and then I'll go to public school again next year.

Most tutors have their own rates per hour.

Where I live, (and all of this answer is in USD) there are several options and the costs vary.

You can usually find a college student who wants some extra cash who charges about $15 per hour for elementary levels and most literature. Upper level math might be a few dollars higher. You provide the books at your cost.

A college grad with experience tutoring will charge $20-25/hour, or maybe $30 for advanced math and sciences. They usualy have their own tutoring materials or they might agree to use your books; it depends on what you work out.

Learning Centers where you go for tutoring have you by blocks of time, it depends on what level and subject, but $40 to $60/hour is a range. This usually includes any special tests, and a private tutor would charge extra for those. They provide all the materials needed.

It depends on the subject, the tutor's rates and how many hours you need them for. Perhaps an online school would be better for you, or get your parents to teach what you can't work out for yourself.

Is this something your parents are wiling to let you do? You'd better speak to them about this.
