Immigration. How & where do I find out what to do next?
In short. My friend has a wife in Thailand (She is Thai, he is an American & in the US). Everything was approved then all of a sudden it was disapproved for not enough income but now has a sponsor which will double is income.
He is wanting to know Where he needs to go on the net to pursue this & find out What needs to be done next.
He’s not sure of even WHAT to look for on any site he may go to. Any & all pointers are welcome.
Thank You
EDIT: Is this the right website to contact the US Embassy?
There seems to be two US locations which is
http://www.usoas.usmission.gov/
&
http://usunnewyork.usmission.gov/
Do you know if either of these two are the right places to start?
I'm just helping a friend & this embassy thing is all new to me
Thank You so much

If it was approved by the USCIS already, it must be the US Embassy in Thailand that disapproved it during the interview because he didn't meet the income requirement for the Affidavit of Support.Your US citizen friend should contact the US Embassy in Thailand if he could still provide them with the co-sponsor for the petition of his wife. The link below is the website of US Embassy in Thailand.
http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/contact.html
If the petition is still with the USCIS here in the US he should contact them.Make sure he has all the information needed when he calls the Customer Service like the case number or the Alien Registration Number of his wife (A#).

NOT an expert in any way but surely the embassy has nothing to do with this matter at all, he would have to reapply with the co sponsor and re file, at least that is how I read all the papers.....like with us we did not fill them out right, so had to re pay and resubmit.
