on NWA they stock bottled water for the flight crew on the plane they have about 4 or 5 bottles on board for them so there really is no need for a captain to bring one through security

the question isn't stupid yet its additionally no longer very coherent! do you mean "why DOES each airline limit BRINGING water bottles whilst boarding the airplane?" the respond is they do no longer. i don't be conscious of of any airline that isn't enable you to deliver beverages onto the airplane. with that being suggested you may persist with the three-one million-one million drinks rule whilst passing by way of secure practices that's... -3.4oz (100ml) boxes or smaller -all boxes could be located in a one million quart length clean plastic zip precise baggie -merely one million baggie in line with individual -for the time of secure practices you may take out the baggie and place it in a bin presented to you for it to go in direction of the x-ray device the rule is for keep on bags merely. so in case you elect to deliver water on a airplane in a water bottle you may the two could deliver an empty water bottle by way of secure practices and fill it up at a water fountain or you may could purchase a bottle of water after secure practices.

I used to go through security with water bottles all the time (as a uniformed crew member). I also used to buy a bagel and a snapple ice tea and go through security with it. TSA never took it away.
