Music to put me in a good, fun mood?

This sounds stupid, but I've been sort of in a rut lately.

You know those movies where like, there's the guy who sits in his house all day growing a beard, eating doritos? And then his friends come in and take away his chips and say "We're getting you out of the house, man, road tripp whoaaa" or something like that.

Yeah that's sort of been me. I'm going up to the city for some fun this weekend, and I sort of want some music to put me in a good mood. My music usually isn't very happy. I like The Decemberists, The Mars Volta, and post rock like Explosions in the Sky and Godspeed you Black Emperor!.

I like poppy, alternative stuff... I just haven't listened to any in a while. I need some suggestions that could put me in the mood for a good time weekend. Maybe even some stuff from the 70's or 80's.

Just go to You Tube and look for "Relax Max"...there is one video in particular...a black woman is having the time of her life just singing along with it...if anything...it's uplifting, cute, and it might help your mood.
