It's been two weeks now, since I have lost my singing voice and my regular speaking voice is altered. Has anyone ever experienced this, because of allergies? I understand that there could be another underlying problem, but can allergies cause this?

I would like to sing harmonies in a band...a band of people who are in the age range of 45-55ish. I enjoy singing harmonies and looking to sing in a local band (Rochester, NY) I used to sing in a Greek band locally, but I enjoy a variety of music and songs. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Someone told us that it's not a good idea to have a bird in the house, when you have a newborn baby...something about birds and disease...has anyone ever heard of that?

I replaced our American flag that was hanging outside our house...I feel bad to throw it in the "garbage"...what would you do?

Every time we see each other at a local business, he comes over and we have nice conversation. The conversations include casual, personal and intimate/sexual topics. When I was sick for some time, he had asked my daughter about how things were going with me and seemed concerned. When he sees me talking with another man, he seems irritable, other people notice this too. I always hope he asks me out, but it never happens. It "seems" as though we like each other...I am 5 years older than him. This has been going on for about a year minus some down time when I was sick. Any opinions as to what is going on...or should I just let it rest?
