It's not really about the tax money, but there are people in prison, their lives ruined for having pot. This is America and people are doing time for having a plant. They push drugs on TV and in magizines that have as possible side effects like stroke, kidney faluire, driving your car while asleep, birth defects, and worse. Cigarette releated illness kill 500,000 people a year and pot has never been listed as the cause of death for anyone, ever. The real question is "Why is marijuana illegal in America? There is no justifiable reason.

Considering the wide array of things that have much more harmful effects that are also legal, it would make sense if it was legalized. It is actually more addictive than both alcohol and tobacco.
