musical theatre vs. film?

I am not familiar will all the good schools in and around London but one name is known around the world: The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA)

Theatre is certainly the best place to get a good grounding. Apart from playing straight roles, any additional talents you have will always be to your advantage sooner or later. Singing, dancing, horse riding, driving, cycling; all these can come in handy in future roles and even mean the difference between getting a role or not.

The techniques for stage and film/TC are different but you will soon learn these as your develop your craft.

By he way, it is very refreshing to see you using "actress". The politically correct absurdity in when everyone is an actor regardless of gender is very tiresome.

Well first off, most actors and actresses start off in theater. That is definitely the best way to get experience and practice your craft. From there, then you can proceed and maybe take an On camera acting class or tv/commerical acting class.

But definitely start off in theater...the real acting lol.

For theather you need to know how to sing decently act very well and be abel to learn basic dance routines ( Cotten-eye Joe is a good example). For t.v you need to know how to read...

Why is it so bad for a female who acts to call themselves an actor? Why do we need a distinction- we used to have 'murderer' and 'murderess', but now we just have 'murderer'.

alot of people do both, but i suggest if you want to be a good actor, than Theater is the place to be

look for a more well rounded program that offers both
