I was hoping that it would be Philadelphia Independence. However I have read that it is going to be Philadelphia Union.

Considering it's the most widely supported sport in the world, I'd be inclined to disagree with you there. In fact, I'd say if anything it's American Football or Baseball that nobody likes, considering there's around 1 or 2 countries that widely follow either of them.
