LOL absolutely....while there's plenty of dogs I think are "nice but I'd never want to OWN for whatever reason, there is a smaller list of dogs I simply would not want in my *presence* for more than, say, 3 hours. Tops.

Apologies in advance for whoever I'm going to offend:

I'd have to say the #1 dog that just "bothers" me is the Pekingese. Overall I'm not a big fan of the "dust mop" look when it comes to little dogs....but the Peke takes the cake. Yeah, I've seen some pet clips that really "cute" up this little guy. But seriously, who can look at the Peke in his "show coat" waddling...or is it slithering?....across the floor at Westminster & not feel a mixture of pity and nausea? Plus I have yet to meet one Peke that didn't have the learning capacity of a throw pillow.

Dalmatians and Chows. I am not usually one to "label" a breed but I would seriously like someone to introduce me to a Dalmatian who is NOT snippy, nervous and/or neurotic to some degree. I've easily encountered 50+ and they were ALL squirrely. And I understand Chows are not supposed to be "social".....but with all that hair and their naturally stiff-legged posture it's HARD to read their body language. None of 'em have the courtesy to give you a good old fashioned warning growl.

American *show line* GSD's. They're just depressing. At first glance it looks like a GSD. Then upon closer inspection I see it's really Gollum from Lord of the Rings, wearing a GSD fursuit. It hits me....suddenly, I realize, this sad, shy, foul little sack of weedy legs and shallow hips, was NOT a horrific Chernobyl-related accident. This isn't one of Iraq's depleted uranium deformities. Somebody did this on PURPOSE. And then I lose all hope for humanity, and need to go weep in solitude.

*thinks*.....Yeah. I think that's about it. These are the only pups I'd have to put squarely in the "do not like" category. Nothing against their owners or the people who do like 'em.....I just...don't! :)

I love most breeds, however I'm not partial to the huskies. I have fostered two of them and one was wonderful. The other one wasn't what I'd want in a dog, but he went to a wonderful home who adores him. I also dislike the smaller breeds, mostly because they are generally spoiled, yappy brats. They receive the least amount of discipline and most aren't even allowed to have their feet touch the ground lest their little paws get dirt on them! Turns them into psychotic messes.

I'm a dog lover. I respect each for the individual traits they possess. I personally have 2 yorkies, who by the way, are not aggressive, (rolling eyes).

It all depends on the person. Different strokes for different folks. Some dogs are just meant for some people more than others.

I've pretty much liked all the dogs I've met.

Of course, they all have their different personalities, and some I'd chose over others not because I don't like them, but because they'd be happier in my house [not because my house is better for some dogs, just if we can provide for their energy, if they're social or not.... stuff like that].

    No specific breeds.

However, there are all too many dog handlers I don't like.

Pop the lead off & then let their spoilt & untrained dogs nip at my dogs hocks or jump up in his face.

Too few people ensure their dogs have a solid recall & that is what I don't like.

i wouldn't say i disliked a particular breed but there are others a prefer as pets. Great Danes and Border Collies are my all time favourite breeds. Staffies - because they are such strong dogs, i wouldn't have them as a pet but i still like the breed. It's the same as Yorkies, i think they are yippy and bark alot so i wouldn't have them as pet but that doesn't mean i don't like the breed.

No I don't like all dogs. I think the majority of dogs are too affectionate, too excitable, too needy, too trainable, too friendly with strangers, and too annoying. Dogs like Boxers, Labradors, Brittanys, (you know the kind of dogs I mean) aren't my thing. I prefer a not-in-your-face, independent, aloof, strong-willed dog that is wary of strangers and thinks for itself. In other words, a sighthound :). That doesn't mean that I hate these dogs, it just means I would never want to own one, they are good dogs that are friendly and nice, just not my cup of tea.

I also would not want to own a "show" dog, I prefer a dog that is more functional. That doesn't mean I don't want a show dog, but there are some dogs that have been bred only for show purposes and have lost their functionality. I wouldn't not want one of those dogs. There are some show dogs that are still functional and that doesn't bother me at all.

I Don't Bark reminded me. I also would never ever own a Pekingese or Bulldog. I think they are completely helpless and pathetic dogs. They can only just barely breath, have loads of health problems, can't breed on their own, can't tolerate any sort of temperature extremes, and would die out almost immediately without people. I do not want a dog like that.

I love all dogs- but i just dont think that bulldogs and bull things are all that cute and there no fun

and Yorkshire terriors are way to aggressive

And great danes are too big and there life expensisty is only 7 years

I love all dogs but I tend to REALLY like the bigger breed dogs.

I hate Chihuahua's also, because they bark, ALOT!

I like the sporty kinds of dog, like Corgi's, Golden Retrievers,

    Labrador's, Boxer's and Rottweiler's.

So you can have more fun with them, and they love to go into the water.

And pomeranian's, when they go into the water, they get hotspots...unless if you blowdry them in a certain way. But that takes to long.
