Hypocrisy could be considered the norm in social relations and integrity the exception.

Basically, you'll find hypocrisy in every human interaction out there because, to put it simply, most people complex enough to say one thing and do something else based on rational thought.

In POLITICS: Politicians need hypocrisy and demagogy. It's the foundation of obtaining votes in a democratic system. And you simply can't attain all that you promise with the exception of promising nothing.

In the MEDIA: Well, you can talk about the hypocrisy of mass media in their claim of objectiveness while being officially funded by corporations. Therefore their reports may be biased even if they claim objectiveness.

In science: Well, it's kind of hard in science, true science, be it social science or natural science to find hypocrisy. A scientist's writings usually contain what he/she honestly believes, even if it is wrong from other standpoints. Science is about offering pertinent arguments. Although one thing i do perceive as hypocritical in science is plagiarism.

In religion: Well this one's fun... Let's start with Christianity: ignoring all the metaphorical allusions in the bible, christianity is a religion of love and understanding. Therefore i consider hypocritical the idea of "bringing the true faith to the barbarians" by way of the sword. (Christianity has fought many wars over time in the name of God... since when did God ask for blood?). That includes the "Holy" Inquisition which executed countless people for nothing more than political interests (i.e. obtaining power through the use of fear of "righteous wrath").

Next comes Islam: Same stuff here. Islam is a religion of peace, but some idiots think it's a good idea to interpret the Jihad (which is in essence a war in oneself, a war for bettering oneself) as a war against "infidels", and a way to spread islam sword in hand.

In environment... well, i'm more of a philosopher than environmentalist, so i couldn't really say much past the obvious of pretending to care about the environment and while no-one's looking throw your garbage on the street. Yes, it's a simplistic example, but i'm sure you can elaborate on that.

Politics: A politician will say one thing isn't right and go along and do something just about the same. That's why its hard to trust politicians in any party.

The Media: The media is basically the same when they report on politics and also things like diseases or something world wide. It's also in entertainment. The media will say something is happening and its wrong but then go and report something where a celebrity or politician did that and its all of a sudden ok.

Science: The same just with diseases and such.

Religion: I can't really think of hypocrites in religion. Sorry.

Environment: ok that ties right back to politicians. When they say the environment is getting much much worse and go drive an suv or fly a private jet. That also goes with celebrities.
