    Absolutely.

    It's appalling to give my tax dollars to these corporations, who then go bankrupt and lay tens of thousands of people off.

    How is this good for the economy?

    Another thought that I have is that this is corporate america's way of punishing the people for voting in someone who will tax them.

    Who knows?

    You sure describe the past situation.

    However, legislators are notoriously far more in tune with those who financially support their re-elections. We aren't them.

    Two California legislators gave their staff raises amidst our dire budget deficit problem. How clueless are they to reality?

    Of course. Career politicians, in particular are out of touch and in their own little power hungry, greedy, worlds.
