Spiritually and literally.
My best friend of seven years started really taking a toll on me, and when she started to tear into my marriage, I cut her loose.
It HURT SO MUCH, and honestly, it still does at times. But, it was the best thing to do. She was pulling me down, and slowly eroding my sense of worth.
Interesting thing, when I called her out on the interfering she was doing, and really put my foot down with her for the first time...WOW, did she show her true colors. She turned N A S T Y!!!
My sister is unfortunately another....but with her, it is more keeping distance than actually cutting her off.
She is an emotionally unstable and jealous person, who has real issues with me, as I am the youngest in the family, and I am prettier than her. She has spent the length of my life trying to destroy me, and at times has done very well at it too.
I now realise that as much as I would LOVE a great relationship with her, it will never happen, because she has too many issues.
I will always love her, but i need to keep space between us, because she is just such a negative and damaging person.
Both of these have taken me a long long time to cope with , but I am seeing the results now of surrounding myself with people who genuinely love me and want to see me do well.
I am happier and I am doing well.

I haven't seen that bumper sticker but it is true: Jesus isn't a religion but a relationship. No one should cut anybody off no matter what but if a person is going to be sporting a bumper sticker like that then they had better walk the talk. I am sure you have been cut off by people who aren't Christians too.

Looking at life through the eyes of a tired hub
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city
Now, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder?
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep
Disorder, disorder, disorder
More wood for the fires, loud neighbors
Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city
Now, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder?
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
Disorder, disorder, disorder

The Bible says in Corinthians 6:14-17 to not yoke yourself with an unbeliever.
" 14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. "

Yes, a very close relative.
It was by far.........the single most gut wrenching, sleep costing, soul searching, agonizing thing that I have ever done.
Years later, I continue to ask myself, what more could I have done, what part did I play, what if I had done this, what does it look like from her perspective?
I miss her.......a great deal, but she simply endangered my family.
I wish this on NO ONE!
People who say that they would "never"........simply have not been tested.............

Yes. A friend. After she ditched me and two other friends in a city none of us had ever been to to ride home with her crush, I got rid of her.

Yes. I haven't seen my father in well over ten years, and if I don't see him before he's in the grave, it'll be too soon.
