What do you use for keeping baby girl's hair out of her face?
My daughter is nearly 14 months old and her hair is always in her face & eyes. I try to keep it pinned back or in a little pony-tail on top but she always pulls it out. Her hair isn't growing in the direction for it to lack back on its own, and I'm trying to encourage it to do so by keeping it pinned back.
What do you use on your daughter's hair? How long before it will start falling away from the eyes instead of in the eyes? Tips?

My girls are 3 and 5, and alas...their hair is always in their face. I have also tried headbands, barrettes and ponytails to no avail! They always rip them out! Just wait until the first time she cuts her own hair! You'll be wishing she still had all that hair in her face! Lol! Good luck!!

I don't know why I clicked on this question - my 14 month old daughter is almost completely bald! I guess I should be counting my blessings, rather than wishing her hair would grow!
My niece had a TON of hair when she was little, and my sister often used the little clips that used to be popular years ago (teenagers would put like 10 of them in the front of their hair...) - similar to the ones in the link at the bottom... She was capable of pulling them out of her hair, but since they clamped onto the hair, it hurt to pull them out, so she just left them alone!
EDIT: My sister used 2 at a time on my niece to make 2 whalespouts on top of my niece's head. I'm giving it a terrible description, but it really did look cute!
Best of luck!

I would suggest a head band or ribbon tied around her head to hold her hair back, it's easy enough to put in and if she helps choose one, you can teach her to put it in. Make a bit of a novelty out of it, it might help encourage her to keep wearing it.

my daughter is almost five and her hair sill doesn't lye flat in a ponytail. i would try a soft headband. its quite difficult at that age. maybe have a fringe cut. that would keep it out of her face.
