Pc gaming or console gaming?
Which do you think is the best way to go? I'd love a high-end desktop pc, but like many people, i would have to save for a few months to buy one. I already have an xbox, and a ps3. I don't know if i should branch into pc gaming, or stick with what i already have? Is it better to put my money towards console games or a new pc?

I build my own pc's, cheaper faster than anything available on the market plus if it breaks down i have full cover 24/7 I:E myself to fix it. A pc is only as good as you want it to be, they can be noisier cumbersome and take up a lot of space but heres the trade off PC v Console, pc modders have always been 5 years in front of the console manufacturers, water cooling started 10 years ago and now is the norm for a lot of pc modders, about 7 years ago they started experimenting with liquid nitrogen as a cooler, what ever pc modders do the console makers watch very carefully. A lot of the games developers for PC know to put in extra features because they know the technology will be along to show it in all its glory.
Half life 2, 5 years old i played it on a 2 gig rig, 256 graphics card. Played it on my new rig 3 gig 512 pci express card and you can see reflections in the npc's uniforms. Thats game makers thinking ahead, with console games there is no room for improvement. I'm a pc gamer, i can upgrade my comp every year, you can't do that with a console. As for the xbox 360 ring of death! they know full well its flawed and still released it. At the minute consoles are the better rig for gamers, the graphics are dedicated to just games obviously, but 5 years is a long time in console development and about 7 re-births of a pc.
i should add, mods and patches and new maps are always available for download for free from the developers or the people who have the license for the engine, a lot of the game developers include open source software in the games they release that means you can more or less build your own game or map. Plus dedicated servers for online matches provided for free by the games houses and a lot of the back room programmers for beta testing. PC baby all the way.

Personally, I've never had the kind of computer that could handle the kind of game played on the console. In addition to that, console gaming is how it all started. I got my Nintendo, then the super, then the 64, and then the Xbox and Gamecube. There's something cool about the tradition of new console wars, and a device that's designed specifically for games. I like consoles.

PC gaming is better for fps games and rts, but if your mainly into action/adventure and third-person shooter games your better off sticking to the consoles, otherwise i'd get a pc, there's tons of great pc only games like crysis. Very few console exclusive games however especially the way things are going most are becoming multiplatform.

Console Gaming. You already have a console, so you don't have to save up for ages, plus consoles tend to have better graphics (in my experience). If you want to update your gaming systems, you would be better off spening a smaller amount of money to get your PS3 to play PS2 games, (I bought myself an old PS2 after my dad got us a PS3, and I now spend more time on the PS2!)
Hope this helps!

I would say console games because for pc games you have to make sure your hardware is up to date and have to upgrade every year or so in order to be able to play the most recent games. You have to make sure you have the right software and hardware in order to play a game but with console gaming you know the game is playable because you are buying the game for that system. It all depends on your preference though, most pc games have slightly better quality and graphics but console gaming is just easier in my opinion.

i would have to go with pc. because any thing you want to do with a ps3 or 360 you can do on a pc you can get x box 360 controllers and pretty much all the game plus emulators for pc like Nintendo 64, snes, and super nintendo. also you can multi task on a computer. but the bad thing is that a high end gameing computer is very expensive

well with pc's, the games always need the latest spec which requires paying for RAM upgrades, better graphic video and sound cards and games are harder to control. with consoles all games are compatible, easy to control and no upgrades neccesary

Why save for a computer, when you could blow off all your money on console games.

well since you already have a console, i would say spend ur money on console games

i say stick with the consoles, less hassle, better controls, less likely to be obsolete, more games, more flexibility.
