how to use Ipod buttons?
I have an Ipod classic.
Sometimes when I am scrolling quickly through long lists, a letter appears in the middle of the screen, and then I can jump letter-by-letter through my library (much faster). But I can't figure out how to trigger it reliably? What should I be pressing?
Also, how do I get it to randomly choose songs on a Playlist? or on the whole iPod?

The only way to bring the letters up is to scroll very fast.
On the top most ipod menu there is a "Shuffle Songs" button, clicking that will shuffle all of the songs and also turn shuffle on for play lists.
