Did Big Papi forget to take his Steroids this season?

To all you people who think he stinks now because Manny's not protecting him in the lineup, what is Kevin Youkilis, chopped liver? Dude was roiding, it's painfully obvious, now he's back to the player he was in Minnesota.

Now that Manny is gone Ortiz has no protection in the lineup, Big Papis career basically started once he got to Boston and he hit in front of Manny. That and hes getting old, not sure he did steroids but the fact is whoever hits in front of Manny has a better season. Look at Andre Ethier and Orlando Hudson of the Dodgers both are having huge seasons thus far because of the insertion of Manny in the lineup.

People want to act like Bay has replaced Manny but he hasnt not only that though Papi is the biggest loser of the trade not being able to hit with a potent superstar to back him in the line up.

Haha I agree. But I think for the most part the problem is not having protection in the line up. When Manny Ramierez was there pitchers were forced to throw good Papi good pitches. Now there isn't as much to fear. Papi himself said thats the problem this year. That and the steroids....

I cannot agree with the Ethier/Hudson comment because they both have had strong seasons recently...they are just on a real hot streak and their averages and numbers will decrease and slow down as the season progresses....as will just about all of the other guys hitting over 300 right now....but Hudson and Ethier are not having better seasons because of Manny

Papi is just struggling...Matt Holliday has just one home run...there are others

ma man Lance Berkman's average is down in the lower 200s last time I checked...and he is a guy who consistently hit over 300 with over 30 dingers...and he has Carlos Lee behind him...just like Papi had Manny...so take out Lee and Berkman should struggle....Lee is there and Berk is struggling

I think you need to watch Baseball Tonight, and see why he's in a slump. He hits well anything in the middle, but he is cold in the upper/bottom part of the zone! I think not having ManRam hitting after him is what's hurting his production.
