Should plus sized kids be able to dress in designer clothes?

I just watched a segment on “Good Morning America”, where there is a group of people that are against plus sized kids wearing designer clothes. They feel that it promotes obesity. I am wondering how many people out there agree with that thought process. What are your thoughts???

Update:

I believe kids from all shapes and sizes should be able to have the same clothing options as everyone one else. If they want to fight obesity, then they need to fight to have PE brought back to the schools.

If a person can afford designer clothes, then yes, they should be able to wear them...regardless of their body size or looks.

It's not a clothing designers place to "punish" obese people...or anyone else. Those designers who are too choosy about customers will find they won't have customers at all.

    1 PE is in schools,

2 Designer clothes are for people who have the money so if you have the money then why not.

3 If the designers dont want the Fat flabby kids wearing their clothes then dont make large sizes.

Sorry to be Harsh But some kids really should really eat healthier.

I don't agree with that. I don't think anyone wants to be obese except plus size models. Promote obesity. That is the silliest thing I've ever heard.

I think they shouldn't buy expensive clothes because they will either gain more weight or lose. They don't always stay the same. Sure, no one does. But thin people usually take more pride in their appearance and work harder to stay thin.

I can't think of anything more narrow

minded then those people who think

    clothes promotes obesity. Clothes,

    designer and otherwise promotes

a sense of self and improves a healthy

state of mind. If America is so concerned about the obesity of our

people then they should ban all fast-

    food restaurants and pizza joints.

Lower the cost of the food that is

healthy so everyone can afford them.

Then we will see healthier people.

Yes, and make P.E. mandatory in schools.

    Hello.

I think having designer clothes for larger children is a good idea. Many children are really upset at the fact they cannot wear stylsih things, when it isn't their fault. Why punish the poor children, when you're in fact trying to help them. If you're going to help them, you should just create fun ways of encouraging exercise.

I think that's the most apauling thing ive ever heard!

PE is in schools where I live (TX), but lots of kids are fat, anyway. My step-children were fat when they came to live with us, but our diet did not support their weight, so they each lost about 15 pounds.

Parents are the biggest contributing factor to fat kids. Clothes have nothing to do with it, and if you're portraying the report correctly, it's ridiculous.
