I live in the bay area, in california.

I'm a camper and I get kinda nerves about camping out in the open land while there are hunters running around with their big guns. How long does the season last in California. I know the first weekend was Sept 18.

Are they just looking for illegal drugs?

I'm getting a new job, and it has the grave shift hours. How to I get my body to prepare for this?

The house is in the process of being a foreclosure, and the landlord has not paid the bank in almost a year, how can he justify calling me to remind me my rent check is 4 days late?

This isn't actually my story, but it happened to a friend of ours. It just baffles me. Am I the only one to see it this way???

The tree is about 15 years old and we are starting to have problems with the roots. You can see large roots coming to the surface of the grass plus our sidewalk is starting to lift. Will pruning the tree help slow down the growth of the roots?

I have a very sharp stabbing pain in my stomach area. It started a few days ago feeling like heartburn, now it is just a sharp pain in my upper abdomen. It rolls in and out pretty fast, but it keeps coming. It is worse after I eat, and antacids don’t do a dang bit of good. By the way, if I put any pressure on my stomach from the outside with my hand, it kills me.

I do the lion’s share of cooking, and I try not to make a lot of the same things all the time. I have 2 very finicky eaters in my family, my husband and my 17 year old daughter. When I cook I want feedback so I know what they will want me to cook again, or stay away from… However, they don’t offer I always end up asking. Or saying, I really like this, I think I like it better than the last time. Or, I’m not really happy with the way it turned out this time… blah blah blah…. No matter what I say, they tell me I am just trying to milk complements out of them. Is it wrong that I talk about my cooking, or ask them if they like it?

I have been out on Medical Leave for the past 5.5 months. I go back to work on Monday, but my boss has already let me know that I will be hit in a upcoming layoff. As it is now, I am going crazy at home, and I know it is going to be hard for me to get a job, but dang I am worried about getting more bored than I am, and even more depressed. I think I was doing better when I was recovering from my surgery, at least I knew I had to rest and do nothing.... What am I going to do with myself????

I just watched a segment on “Good Morning America”, where there is a group of people that are against plus sized kids wearing designer clothes. They feel that it promotes obesity. I am wondering how many people out there agree with that thought process. What are your thoughts???

My daughter is 17 yrs old and is very depressed lately. She is always very sad and never smiles anymore, she speaks quietly and has lost interest even in spending time with her friends. I’m worried about her. It has gotten worse in the past few weeks, since her and her boyfriend split up. However, they have started talking again but her mood still has not picked back up. I want to know what I can do to help her. We have talked about going to the doctor, or to have her talk to a therapist, but she is reluctant. Should I take her anyway?

I asked her if she was suicidal in any way and she said, “Sometimes I wish I wasn’t alive, but I don’t want to kill myself”.

Like I said, I need sound advice and don’t really know what to do next.

I have 2 dogs, the younger male dog won't stop eating the females poop. He even goes as far as digging up the grass after it has been cleaned up. We have tried meat tenderizer, but that didn't seem to work either. Does anyone have any suggestions???? I really need help, this problem is driving us crazy.

Why, and how can I get him to stop. It is so disgusting, and he is getting fat off of it. I almost want to stop feeding him regular dog food.

I have yahoo mail, and just starting this morning it shows that I have 2 messages that are not read yet in my inbox. However, I don't have them in my inbox. Are there really messages there or not?

Just 4 weeks ago, I had surgery on my foot (grafting new tendons in) and the recovery time is going to be huge. I will not be able to put any weight onto my foot for a total of 16 weeks... Under normal life I am a very independent person, and I feel I take good care of my family. In some cases, I actually have spoiled them (mostly my daughter). I was full-time employed, did 95% of the cooking, my husband helped with some of the house work. They did help out with the clean up after dinner.... But now, I can't get around very easy and what efforts I do put into things, take me forever. I have to keep my foot up because of swelling issues, but I find that I end up over doing it and really make it harder on myself in the long run. My husband has been a Saint through all of this, but I get so frustrated with my daughter. She is 17, doesn't work, is always on the go, but continues to expect things to be done around her here at home. I realize I have created this little monster and when I am frustrated with her and the way my day has gone I tend to really lash out more than I need to, which in turn makes things even worse... I have other things on my plate as well, that cause for more emotions to be flying off the hook at times, but I am tired of using all of this as an excuse for me blowing up, when bottom line is, I just want some help.

Other issues: My father passed away just a week before my surgery, my husband and I were informed that we are both losing our jobs because the company is closing; I am trying to handle my dad's estate now that he has passed.... I just want to crawl into a ball and cry somewhere.... Help. I need advice so I don't keep getting upset and taking it out on my family....
