What can I do with my time?
I have been out on Medical Leave for the past 5.5 months. I go back to work on Monday, but my boss has already let me know that I will be hit in a upcoming layoff. As it is now, I am going crazy at home, and I know it is going to be hard for me to get a job, but dang I am worried about getting more bored than I am, and even more depressed. I think I was doing better when I was recovering from my surgery, at least I knew I had to rest and do nothing.... What am I going to do with myself????
While I was off on med leave, I was confined to a wheelchair for a lot of it. I’m still not 100% but am getting better. Just before I had surgery, my father passed away, and my mom just 18 months before that. So, while I was off I scanned all of the old family photos, over 2,000 pictures. I am so burnt out on that project. Also, there is only so much cleaning and organizing I can do. I have ready about 20 books and watched endless amounts of movies. I’m going nuts. I will be looking for a job, but with this economy the way it is, I fear it will take forever. I know I sound like I am feeling sorry for myself, but I already depressed and bored. My fear it is only going to get worse.

If you can't afford the lay-off then i would look for a new job. If you will be able to afford not working and you don't want a new job, then i suggest finding something you are good at, an old hobby maybe...and work at that...
i love photography, so if it were me i would spend more time taking pictures and then making scrapbooks, playing on the internet etc.
but there are lots of things you could do:
go fishing
work on writing a novel
swimming
start a great book series
(My favorites are house of night,
dean koontz, steven king, and
mary higgans clark)
clean...re-arrange your home
spend time with friends
spend time with family :)
volunteer somewhere like an animal shelter
rent lots of movies to watch
spend time learning a new recipe and cooking for
yourself or someone special to you.
:) I know this is alot of random things, but hope it helps :)
Hope everything works out for you!
