Please help with my tan-line issue...?

I have not tanned in years and years and years. I am fair complexion, aqua eyes and dark hair (naturally anyways).

I went to an outdoor event yesterday and when I got home that evening I realized my arms are sun burnt and nowhere else on my body is tanned or burnt or anything (because I was wearing clothes there) so now it looks ridiculous.

I would not mind having a nice all over tan that is all even, so with my burnt arms, how do I accomplish an all-over, EVEN tan?

Update:

I like tanning salon idea, but, will this build on my tan arms more than everywhere else or will it "automatically" even things out?

Well don't go tanning in a salon. It is extremely bad for your skin. If anything lay out. But wear a higher spf sun screen on your arms and where you are burned. I don't recommend a tanning bed because it is more harmful than the sun. People are getting more damage from tanning beds. You are not meant to tan that fast. Tanning beds don't offer that vitamin D that you get from the sun. Doctors are saying that people are so afraid of getting sun because they don't want skin cancer but are going to the tanning beds and still get cancer. They also said that we need that form of vitamin D that we get from the sun and people are really losing out. Don't spend every minute in the sun but its ok to get sun on a daily basis. Sun screen is the key. You can still get tan using a sun screen and get protection against burning and aging at the same time.

    Good luck.

Pam you can handle two ways.

1st Get a self tanner and apply, after the sunburn has gone down.

2nd Allow sunburn to go away and start going to a tanning bed.

I go everyday for 20 in the nude and have zero tan lines.
