Why is a boxing ring SQUARE?

Why do you drive on a parkway, and park on a driveway....it's just one of those things.

Because there would be no corner to go to in between rounds and also I think back in the day it was easier to just make a square platform.

Remember boxing isn't a new sport, it goes back very far.

Because of the same reason round pizza's come in square boxes.

because u know how u have like bouncy cable strings around the ring?

yea, if the arena is a circle, its hard to post up the cables.

the posts put up at the 4 corners provide support for the cables. a circle arena would have nowhere to put the posts at.

Because if it was a circle there wouldn't be any corners to go to between rounds.

squares are more common for rooms size, you never see a circle room even though that would be so cool.

A ring can be square, can't it?
