Catfish guys! Ever hear of this before? Anybody else ever use this method? Was the results this good?
I was at the boat landing last week and 3 boats loaded down with hot water heaters put in. The heaters were stripped to the bare metal, and had 4 legs welded to them with a hole cut in the end of the tank. They had 14 heaters in the boats. Started talking to the guys and they said they were catfishing, and liked to grab the fish that would make a home in the tanks. I know people that get them out of undercut areas of the banks but had never heard of this. Today I went to the landing and the guy that runs the landing showed me the pictures of the cats they caught on their first run with the heaters, 14 heaters out and they caught 14 catfish between 25 lbs and 45 lbs. I've never heard of any method that was this effective before.

hey man, yea i have heard of this, i have seen people that use heaters, barrels, 5 gallon buckets, pretty much anything that a cat can make a nest in. it works pretty good. you just need to set markers so you can remember where they are. just give the cats a couple weeks for them to find the hole and make a nest. lot of people that i know go noodling for them and in my opinion that is not a good way to catch them. i aint stickin my hand down there to catch the cats, might catch a snake or a gator turtle. but they are good ways to find the cats and most cats (((if there isnt too much current)))) stay in one place or atleast the general area. if you dont know what noodling is i will see if i can find you a video or something. it is fun as hell to watch people do it but i aint. good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

Haven't heard of that but I had everything bought before the baby was born. Heck 2 days before he was born we were out buying the last few small items we had forgotten about (hairbrush, some pacifiers and I forget what else). He's 5 mo old now and we are both fine. So if you don't get enough diapers or clothes or wipes or gripe water or bottles or whatever before the baby is born, you have to make do until the baby is 4 mo old? Tell your bf to grow a spine and tell his family to stuff it.

a lot of guys build and sink boxes. a water heater should be a great idea. especially for recycling issues. the only drawback l can see would be any metal sharp edges. especially when beginning to rust.

I hadn't heard of water heaters but it's not a bad idea.
