Has anyone ever heard of a "matic" for yard work? Where can I get or rent one?

    Could you mean a mattock? Any hardware store.

    the mattock will turn into your favorite tool.... get the full sized one for big jobs and a hand-held one for your sidekick in the garden.... mine is the one tool I cannot replace with anything else.... I can break up hard soil with it, divide plants with it, hoe out weeds with it, lift out rocks and bricks, edge a bed, dig a hole to plant something in..... just everything!!....
