Maybe because it's a bit unorganized, usually if you have a thousand songs in one folder it will cause the computer to slow down. I reccomend having each song in a specific folder dividing it by Genre, artist, category, etc.

Either that or you might need some more RAM.

Make use of your laptop's storage as best you can, it's there for you to utilise. When talking about memory slowing things down, we are refering to the RAM memory, which fills up if lots of PROGRAMS are open at the same time. But it's not affected by how many music files you have stored. Vote if this helps :)

You may just have a lot of files and subfolders in your music folder, and your laptop is underpowered so it takes Windows a lot of resources to read what's in the folder.

Or, you may have some antivirus program that's set up to scan files in opened folders.

It might be full of junk. Clear the waste and it will run faster. Cache clearing programs are available. Those folders sometimes get viruses which need to be cleared. Don't download music from irreputable sites.

Because those files are very large, and consume a lot of your computers resources.

CAUSE U HAVE 2 MANY SONGS OR HAD 2 MANY SONGS...YOU COULD BE IN NEED OF MEMORY OR COULD HAVE HIDDEN FILES.
