I never had any side effects from the clomid, no signs it was working.
I know how frustrating it can be, trying to conceive. If this is your first cycle on clomid, though, you should give it a little time.
With my first pregnancy, I think I did 5 or 6 cycles on clomid and then conceived.
With my second, I think it took 2 or 3 on the clomid.
Try to enjoy your husband, at this point he may be feeling like a sperm donor. (I know my husband began to feel that way.) Try to reconnect with your own sexuality. Make sure you're still being intimate with your husband at times when you can't conceive, and you might even try getting out some of that lingerie in the drawer. A good orgasm always made me feel a little better.
I also got to the point where I wanted to start adoption proceedings. I figured, the wait might be long, but eventually we would get a baby. As soon as I changed my focus from conceiving to figuring out how to adopt, we conceived.
Good luck!

I went through 3 rounds with my first son, and I was amazed when it worked. Well the second time around it took way longer. I was on it for almost a year. The doctor finally said it was not working, so I would have to do In-vitro. Well the same month he said this I got pregnant. I learned this time around that you have to relax. I know when you are trying to have a baby this does not come easy. When I finally relaxed, because I thought there was no hope, I got pregnant. You have to take it all in stride. Just keep up the hope. Take care and good luck.
