Hmmm...I'm having a little trouble with this Qu'ran verse?

It means put Allah first and throw out the trash. Also idol worshipers are rare these days as most people are theist (They believe in a God) regardless of whether that God is Allah or not,for there is no compulsion in religion, but you HAVE to believe that God exists !!

1. It is not the first time that you are trying to question the Quran.

2. If i spend one month to prove the truth, after that period, you will post your next question and I have to spend time again to answer your question.

3. No one can convince you if you yourself are, patetly, inclined to another side.

1. If you eant to receive guidance from the Quran,

a. read it completely.

b. read every verse in the textual and historical context.

c. read every verse trying to understand what it means,

and do not try to make it mean waht you understand!

2. Everyone can enjoy the Quran. But if you want to find out the rules and other details from the Quran, you must study for a while an become specialized. Can you cite a sentence or even a passage in philosophy, or in mathematics and find contradictions in them or question them simply because you do not understand them?!

Every sensible person will tell you to first get specialized in those fields and then question them.

3. The Quran is a guidance for the pious ones.

If you like to get guidance from the Quran, first try to be honest with yourself and to be pious.

Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.

You have the wrong interpretation of naskh; the Qur'aan does not abrogate itself; it abrogates the previous scriptures, but more importantly, the translation is "cause to be forgotten" which is what you see in some of the ahaadeeth of Sahih Bukhaaree.

I see one of your questions talks about "contradictions in the Qur'aan" but there are not any; I don't have the time to refute them for you, so here is a site that has already done that:

Existing Peace Treaties remained vaild until the End of their Term

This is an exception regulating the longest extent of time for those who have a general treaty-with out time mentions-to four months.

They would have four months to travel the lands in search of sanctuary for themselves wherever they wish.Those whose treaty mentioned a specifec limited term, then the longest it would extend was to the point of its agreed upon termination date. Hadiths in this regard preceeded. So anyone who had a treaty with Allah's Messenger, it lasted until its spercific termination date.However,those in this category were required to refrain from breaking the terms of the agreement with Muslims and from helping non-Muslims against Muslims.

This is the tupe of whose peace agreement with Muslims was carried out to it's end.Allah encouraged honroing such peae treaties saying, (Surely, Allah loves those who have Taqa)9:4, who keep their promises(5. So when the sacred months have passed, then fight the mushrikin wherever you find them,and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush.But if they repent and perform the Salah, and give Zakah, then leave their way free.Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.)

Mujahid, 'Amr bin Shu'ayb, Muhammad bin Ishaq, Qatadah, As-Suddi and 'Abur Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslma said that the four months mentioned in this Ayah are the the four-month grace period mentioned in the earlier Ayah,

(So travel freely for four months throughout the land.)

All said next, (So when the Sacred Months have passed...), meaning, 'Upon the end of the four months during which We prohibited you from fighting the idiolators, and which is the grace period We gave them, then fight and kill the idolators whenever you may find them.'

Allahs statement next, (then fight the Mushrikin wherever you find them), means, on the earth in gernal, except for the sacred Area, for Allah said (And fight not with them At Al-Masjid Al -Haram,unless they fight you there.But if they attack you, then fight them)2:191 Allah said here (and capture them),executing some and keeping some as prisioners, (and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush), do not wait until you find them.Rather seek and besiege them in their areas and forts, gather intelligence about them in various roads and fairways so that what is made wide looks ever smaller to them. This way, the will have no choice, but to die or embrace Islam, (But if the repent and perform the Salah, and give the Zakah, then leave their way free.Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful) Abu Bakr As-Siddiq used this and other honorable Ayat as proof for fighting those who refrained from paying the Zakah.These Ayat allowed fighting people unless,and until,they embrace Islam and implement its rulings, and obligations.Allah mentioned the most important aspects of Islam here, including what is less important.Surely, the highest elements of Islam after the Two Testimonials, and the prayer, which is the right of Allah,the Exalted and Ever High,then the Zakah, which benifits the poor and needy.These are the most honorable acts that creatures perform, and this is why Allah often mentions the prayer and Zakah togeather.In the two Sahihs,it is recorded that Ibn 'Umar said that the Messenger of Allah said, (I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no diety wothy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah,establish the prater and pay the Zakah)

This hornorable AYah(9:5) was called the Ayah of the Sword,about which Ad-Dahhak bin Muzahim said, "It abrogated every agreement of peace between the Prophet and any idolator,every treaty, and every term." Al-'Awifi said that Ibn 'Abbas commented: "No idolator had any more treaty or promise of safety ever since Surah Bara'ah was revealed.The four months,in addition to, all peace treaties conducted before Bara'ah was revealed and announced had ended by the tenth month of Rabbi' Al-Akhir"

These words in Surah 9, Ayah 5 are of Allah (God Almighty) and not of Prophet Mohammad. Following is the background history and

meanings of this Ayah.

Surah At-Taubah

Most enemies of Islam use Ayahs of Surah At-Taubah totally out of context for the purpose of propaganda against religion Islam to spread hate in the hearts of Christians.

The commands in this surah were revealed only to deal the atheists of Mecca who persecuted , killed many new converts during first 13 years, Mohammad was in Mecca as Messenger of Allah. Their plans to kill Prophet Mohammad and persecution of Muslims forced him and his companions to migrate to Ethiopia and Madina.

In Mecca God didn't permit Mohammad and his followers to even defend themselves. They were told to have patience for their severe training and strengthening their faith. Muslims suffered a lot for thirteen years from the hands of hateful Atheists of Mecca. During these years Mohammad and his entire tribe was forced to live in a valley for three years without food and water. They lived eating roots of plants and food that was smuggled by the kind people.

After Mohammad and his followers moved to Madina, Atheists of Mecca three wars against Muslims with intention to kill Mohammad and Muslims. Each time by the help of God Muslims Atheists met humiliating defeat and heavy loss of life specially of their leaders who were strong enemies of Islam. In Madina God did permit to Prophet and his followers to fight for their defense.

After three wars Meccans realized that Muslims can not be wiped out as she wished. So Atheists signed a treaty with Prophet Mohammad agreeing that there will be no war for ten years. There were many more clauses in the treaty. During these ten years Islam spread rapidly in most of the Arabian peninsula. Atheists violated many clauses including murder of one Muslim who went to visit his family in Mecca. So Prophet declared the treaty as null and void two years before he died.

Mohammad was the last Prophet of God and God wanted him to establish a model Muslim state governed by God’s Laws. Also God wanted to re-establish Kaaba as the center of Islam, like Mecca was established by Prophet Abraham about three thousand years ago.

Before two years of Prophet Mohammad’s death Allah revealed this Surah At-Taubah in Quran. God didn't start this surah with the phrase "In the name of God the most Merciful the Most Beneficent". Because God declared firmly without showing any mercy for enemies of Mohammad and all Muslims giving them four months to either accept Islam or leave the Arabian peninsula. And Allah commanded Prophet and his followers to kill if they find any Arab atheist after four months in entire Arabian peninsula being the holy land of Islam..

Most of the atheists either accepted Islam or escaped from Arabian peninsula. Not a single atheist came to fight with Muslims when Prophet entered in Mecca with 10,000 faithful believers fully armed to liberate Mecca from the control of the Holiest shrine where Arabs have been gathering for three thousand years to perform holy pilgrimage that Prophet Abraham called for on the command of Allah. Prophet Mohammad declared general amnesty forgiving all Meccans for torturing, killing and persecuting Muslims in past 22 years. This kind of kindness has never been shown before nor after until this day by any other conqueror in the history of mankind.

Prophet stayed in Mecca for several days. As Allah commanded him, Prophet destroyed 360 idols placed in the Kaaba by Atheists and abolished many of the bad rituals Atheists had introduced as rituals of pilgrimage of Kaaba. On the command of Allah, Prophet Abraham had re-built Kaaba and made it center of religion Islam. But Atheists had converted Kaaba into the center of Atheism. Prophet appointed a Muslim Governor of Mecca to govern the city by Shariah Laws that Allah revealed in Quran. During Prophet's stay in Mecca thousands of atheists came and accepted Islam and few fled from Mecca to Ethiopia. Allah declared Arabian peninsula as Holy land and commanded Prophet to free this peninsula from the presence of any Atheist who didn’t believe in God.

God revealed this surah and every word in it pertaining to the atheists of Mecca and its surrounding villages. It was not meant for killing any non-Muslim of any other country or followers of any other religion in entire world. Christians have often quoted Ayahs of this Surah # 9 out of context to incite hatred against Muslims specially after the incident of 911 which Al-Qaeda did as protest against the killings of million Palestinians by Israelites with the full support of USA and with the use of American made weapons. I do not support what Al-Qaeda what they did because it has caused deaths of million people of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Muslim rulers never used these Ayahs of Quran to kill any people in any country under their rule because these Ayahs pertained only for Ath
