Jesus died for our sins right?
If this is the case then why is it taught at baptism original is taken away ?
I was raised catholic. So this a catholic question I guess .
While at St. louis elementry we were taught that baptism wipes away original sin
My point is that in almost all elements of the bible the rules change on a regular basis. To fit the needs of the current mind set in the church's of the time

I could be totally wrong, but I believe that Jesus life was meant to be an example not that we could just keep sinning and have no fear of repercussions. Wasn't his biggest saying - Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself ? Seems clear to me. If he died for My sins I might as well be out Killing now instead of being here. See my point ?

I think that maybe you meant to say that it is taught that baptism takes orininal sin away? If that's what you meant to ask, that is wrong, baptism does not take sin away or gets anyone saved. A person has to believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior to be saved, After you are saved, a person should be baptized to identify themselves with Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurection. The reason that Christ died for our sins is because in order to be able to go to Heaven, we would have had to been able to keep the ten commandments and no one is able to keep them except for Christ. He is the only one that was perfect, he was without sin, his blood was pure and righteous, so he became sin on the cross for you and for me so that we through his precious blood have that chance to go to Heaven when we die. Does this mean that once we are saved that we don't sin anymore? No it doesn't mean that, we will still sin, but now we have Christ to confess our sins to and he forgives us our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteouness. Remember that the theift on the cross never got bapized but he still went to Heaven cause he believe that Jesus was the Savior.

Yehowshuwa the Messiah died for out sins. At baptism they want you to give your soul to an impostor, Jesus Christ.

same reason why John Hagee says that Jesus "never claimed to be the messiah" (even though the Bible says differently). people have twisted scripture.

Absolutely. We are responsible for our own sins not Adam's sin or John's sin or anybody else's sins, only our sins.
