Why do people think that Favre would beat the Packers?

Finally someone who tells it how it is. Thank you because I really thought I was the only person left in the world. No he can not beat the Packers. He couldn't even beat Oakland or Seattle last season. I am really having a bad time with this because I am a Vikings fan and if we get him we can say good bye to the playoffs next season. Thank you again for stating the fact.

The whole Favre thing is a joke. If he does come back, especially to the Vikings, it'll prove a couple of things:

1. Favre is a diva (like T.O.) that thought the Packers would chase after him like a 7th grade boy chases a girl. When they finally said "Since you're retired, and you said you're retired (again, and teary-eyed this time), we're moving on" he got pissed. He thought the Pack would beg him to come back, as if their world wouldn't rotate without him. When he found out they were OK, he's now looking for "revenge".

2. He fluffed his way through last season (and I personally believe the 9 INTs in 5 games was intentional, just to get the season over), knowing the Jets would let him go, so he could go to the Vikings with no stipulations. What a waste of everyone's time and energy. It borders on blasphemy.

JL423, you're funny. The "greatest QB ever" doesn't lead the league in all-time interceptions. He doesn't toss his own team out of the NFC championship game. He doesn't act life a selfish twit who thinks he's more important than the team. He doesn't hold his old team hostage year after year, and he doesn't try to take out some spiteful, childish revenge on them afterward.

He's a selfish, spiteful prima donna whose reckless play on the field cost the Packers many, many games when they needed him to come through. Before Favre, the Packers had never lost a home playoff game in their entire history. Now they've lost three, all at his reckless hands.

Save me the "greatest ever" speech. He's not even the best Packer QB of all time. That would go to Bart Starr, who won 5 NFL titles in 7 years. How many did Favre win? ONE, in SIXTEEN years. No contest.

Because he is the greatest ever! Film can't capture Favre because he improvises!

You are such a Favre hating tool! Did he screw your ol' lady or something? Favre has a lower INT to TD ratio than Elway, Unitas, and many other of the best of all-time. He has the most PICKS because he has the most attempts! Look at how many freaking TD's he has! favre has EVERY positive record there is, and yet you focus on the only negative record he has. Sad really.

He won't. Why? because the Packers' coaching staff already know all his menauvers (sp?) and the signals he uses since they taught him it and the Vikes run the same offense as the Packers. That way they can gameplan against him and we'll win.

Brett is being far to delusional. He thinks he can still play but throwing 9 picks in 5 games to knock your team from the playoffs is a clear sign of decline.

You raise a great point. Even if he returns can he win the games. That is interesting. The emotion seems to be on his apparent flip flop of retire and comeback. VEry interesting point on can he win again.

Sure their defense is lazy. But offense is dam good, it would be a fair shot. Im pullin a little bit more for the packers tho.

because the packers have a terrible defense. favre can beat their defense when he is playing QB... almost any QB can LOL.
