Posing nude for art teacher?
My art teacher recently asked me to pose nude for him but said he wants me to shave everything, including body and pubic hair completely. Is this common to ask?

Not a normal request unless you're posing for a body painting session which is when the artist applies the paint to your body and photographs you for the finished art work. This is difficult work and is very time consuming for both artist and model but worth the effort if you can do it.

Hi there, Well I am an art student myself but I have not been posing in that kind of way. But what I want to assure you is that it is perfectly normal for an art teacher to take pictures as they go on. These would be used for finishing touches if you are not there to pose and it will help by giving the teacher more details that he may be missing when you are posing (you don't really see everything when you are painting something in front of you) until after wards you see a still picture. My art teacher takes photos along the way for reflection purposes and stuff and they would usually do that its normal trust me

If you are a teen and he is requesting this, report it to the principal immediately. No teacher, even an art teacher, has a right to make a request, and he's using his status as an "art teacher" to take advantage of his students! Who knows how many other students he has done this to, how many were too scared to say no and report him, or how many he will do this to in the future unless he is stopped. If you accept his request, you might be in for a LOT more than being painted...so don't let him get away with it! No "art" that he creates of an underage, nude, hairless boy can ever be sold or reproduced...he wants you hairless to give himself a sense of you're being a pre-pubescent boy...in other words, he'll simply use the work as a means of masturbation and fantasy. He's a pedophile.
If you are in college, he still has no right to request this because there is always the underlying fear that your grade will be lowered if you don't follow through on his "art piece" or anything else he tries to demand later. I would still tell him no and say that you are uncomfortable with the idea of someone finding out and reporting it. He is using his position of authority to feed his sick fantasies. If he keeps pushing you, tell him you will report him to the dean of the art school, and follow through if he continues.
If you are an adult, it's an odd request at the very least. He might be trying to use the guise of "art" as a means of seducing you. It's up to you what to do, but if you deny him and he continues to badger you, then complain to the head of the adult education center that you're attending.
We don't really think much about adult males or females posing nude, as long as it is their choice, of course. But, I honestly think that shaving every bit of hair is a bit creepy and pedophelic. I'm a woman and wouldn't do that for ANY man because I'm sure that those types of guys just fantasize about doing it will little pre-pubescent girls. YUCK!

No, it is not common. An art teacher should NOT be asking a student to pose nude, for a class or for himself. The fact that you are male (assuming from your 'handle')
and he wants you to shave even your pubic hair, tells me he has pedophile tendencies, if not full blown pedophilia. You need to bring this to the attention of the school. If you are a minor, what he has asked is illegal. If you are a college student, it is totally unethical for him to ask a student to pose. Besides, would you really want your classmates to see you in your all?

It certainly is not "normal." You don't say how old you are, so it may be illegal, as well. In any event, report this behavior to an adult authority at once!
You don't know how many other people may have had the same problem, and you don't want this to happen in the future to someone else. Stand up on this one and do what's right.
Best wishes.

Your art teacher? If you are on the level and not trolling, report him to your school and to your parents. Of course my physician asked me to do the same thing; only after volunteering my body after death.

your body is your secret. My advice to you is to keep it covered and keep all your hair as well. GET AWAY from your art teacher and ask him to get help. Use your judgement - be wise.
