I have to say, I LOVE cupcakes, they're an excellent treat, and for birthdays, they're fantastic! And, the fact that your daughter isn't into characters actually simplifies your mission!

I make all sorts of cupcakes for my friends and family, and the first idea that came to mind for your daughter's birthday is the "Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes," which are cupcakes baked in real ice cream cones.

Another very cute and easy idea is "Balloon Cupcakes." You simply bake cupcakes of any flavor, and frost in four different colors. I like to do these with "neon" food coloring added to the frosting, and iridescent and white ribbon for girls. So cute!

Both of these ideas are quite easy, you can use cake mixes and canned frosting, and recipes/directions for both are listed below.

    Have fun!

My brother had an amazing birthday cake!

It was a massive French fancy (the small iced cake cubes with baker's cream inside the top bit of the icing)

I think making a massive cake (rounded at the top) then decorating the icing etc. like it is a massive cupcake!

Then have some cute little cupcakes round the edge (Do 7 then put a candle in each cupcake)

    Hope this helps x

I think a mermaid cake would be great. My daughter's a huge Ariel/Little Mermaid fan. There are some ideas that other people have used at the link below. There are even cake toppers that you can order rather than trying to be an artist and paint it all in frosting.

There are also Barbie mermaids at Wal Mart in the toy section. You could make a blue cake, have an upside down chocolate cupcake on top (like a rock) and seat the mermaid doll on it.

Make any flavor cupcake you want. When cool take a decorating bag with a medium tip on. Put cool whip with a drop or two of vanilla in a bowl, mix and fill bag. Put tip into top of cupcake squeeze bag and fill cupcake. Frost top to cover hole. Kids love the surprise middle.

Maybe if you did a luau theme your cupcakes could have those cute little hawaiian flowers!

Source(s): Someone I knew had a party similar to that.

Is she one of them girls who likes mermaids and stuff?

Is she is do like a mermaid cake.

if she isn't just do like a pool with a lilo in the middle of it with a message written on it.

and do like goggle and beach balls surrounding it
