Please, please help. My hips hurt so much I can't walk.?
I'm 36 weeks pregnant and my hips have been hurting for quite some time. But today the one is just horrible. I literally can't walk and I'm at my wits end. It takes me 10 min to hobble to the bathroom, holding onto furniture the whole way. I've tried sleeping with a pillow between my legs, which helped, but as soon as I walked to the couch this morning, it all came back even worse than before. Please help.

I am so sorry. I was like that at the end with my first too. I am 33 weeks now and am starting to have some problems getting around. It just happens and there isn't anything you can do but some tylenol which doesn't do much. Maybe a cold or hot pack on the hips. You are almost finished. Good luck.

You may have actually thrown your hip out a bit--this has happened to me before as well. I am 31 weeks and have had horrible hip pain since my 2nd trimester.
I would call your Dr's office and ask if there are any exercises/stretches that you could do. Also, a warm bath is very helpful as well.
You are in the home stretch! Hang in there!!

Sorry!!! I know how you feel. I'm at 32 weeks, and feel your pain. What helps me is a heat pack and a lower back massage. I have also heard that you can talk to a chiropractor about it and they may be able to adjust your lower spine/hips to make them feel better.
Good Luck!

Im actually 34 weeks and 5 days also.............. due Jan 28th. Ive been having the same problem for about 2 mos or more. Make sure to sleep with a pillow between your knees and stay moving. Sitting too long will only make it worse! Its your joints loosening up for the baby to fit thru. Good luck!

this sounds like SPD although i would definately recommend speaking to your doctor anyway. symphisis pubis dysfunction, is when the pelvic bones widen too far(in my case) and cause the bones to rub together causing the pain. my pain was both in my hips back and also in my pelvic area. when moving about take baby steps, sideway up the stairs helped me. anything that limits twisting etc of hips helps, ie getting out of bed, turn on your side legs bent uptowards your bump and keep them bent while standing up to get up. also bent when getting in and out of teh car helps just swing your body. you can also get a tube a grip, or strap to wrap around your tummy which keeps everything in place. although id see your doc still incase it isnt. best of luck!
