I really like Victoria, the surrounding countryside is very lush. Melbourne is nice too.
Tasmania is good as well. Natural beauty.

I'm biased, I like the stated I was raised in - Western Australia. I love the wild outback wilderness areas of the north and the lush forests of the south. I especially love the tropical sunsets over the Indian ocean.

They are all pretty good here in Oz. Depends if you like the hot or cold. Tasmainia is great for sight seeing, plus its cold there, Queensland is great for theme parks, the Great Barrier Reef, its hot there, New South Wales and Victoria in the middle! Every state has it's own thing.
I personally love Victoria. So much to do and it's all compacted into one small state!

Western Australia and Tasmania
They still retain the laid back charm whereas all the other are either too touristy (QLD Gold Coast, Norther Territory - Alice Springs) or too fast paced and populated (VIC and NSW).
Not sure about Adelaide (South Australia) though....we usually ignore them

NSW and Victoria. Both very great I grew up in Canberra and now live in Sydney. The suburbs of Sydney and Melbourne are great.

They are all good, but I live in NSW & think it's the best. It's certainly the most heavily populated of all six states & two territories.
