Movement has felt the same for 4 weeks?!?!?

I first felt my baby move at 18w1d. However; I am now 22 weeks and over the past month, all the movement has felt exactly the same. Even thought I've had more movement as time went on, the movement hasn't gotten any stronger. When will I feel actual kicks? Also, my husband feels terrible because its been a month of me feeling the baby kick, and he can't feel anything. He keeps asking when he will be able to feel it and I feel like I just keep saying "oh probably another week..." Advice please?!?!

Update:

Thanks everyone..k-10, did you find out what you are having!?!?

My husband didn't feel her either until about a month after me. it's really any day now for him. My baby got very strong at about 24-26 weeks. Just be very patient. you'll notice when he'll be able o feel on the outside. Has he stuck his ear on your belly though?? My hubby did that before he felt her kick... it calmed him down a bit that he could experience something with me.

You may not feel kicks for another few weeks or a month. It could be tomorrow though. It's really any day now.

Most often people can't feel movement outside until after 24 weeks. Just tell your hubbie to hang in there. I've been feeling movement since 16 weeks and my husband didn't get to feel anything until 20.

  • You're lucky!!! I only felt my baby move once so far. And I'm 20 weeks. LOL. My DR said it was ok, and that all Mom's were different. I just had an ultrasound on Tues and we watched the baby practically bouncing off the walls, but I didn't feel a thing. Well, I DO have a thick lining in my uterus, so this could be the cause...
