How long would you date someone without getting engaged?
Been with my boyfriend for 6 years and still dating. We are still young (22 & 20), but how long is too long? I'm happy with they way things are now, just curious since I see people my age getting married after dating for like 2 years.
I don't want to change it, I was just asking for peoples personal opinions
We've talked about marriage quite a bit and money is definitely a concern when it comes to that, which is why I'm not freaking out about why we haven't married yet.

That really depends on how you "click" I think. 6 years is a nice amount of time to be able to tell how well you'd do together long-term, but there is no set timer on it hun! Just be happy =] that's the point!

6 years can fly by quickly. And you're very young, I think most people start thinking about getting engaged in their late 20's early 30's. But hey, perhaps your boyfriend can't afford an engagement ring right now? lol.
I think too long is when you reach 10+ years and are still not really making more serious plans for the future. But it depends, some people don't really believe in marriage and are just happy being together as they are.
Do you know what his views on marriage are?

dang, thats a long time. i would want to wait until i'm at least 25 (i'm 16...) and dating the person at least 5 years. theres always the 4 year itch that i would want to get by. 6 years is good :)

don't get married till you are like 24-25. You may be an adult now,but your personality is still turning you into who you are going to be.
