    You experienced

    OBE - Outter Body Experience

    or

OOBE - Out of Body Experience

yeah it's possible. It's happened to other people too. Be lucky you didn't experience scary stuff as other people have.

    Edit:

You don't have to be dreaming to experience this. There are other things that causes you to experience that

Yah one time I was in bed and I saw myself laying a few feet right over me. It was like an orange outline of me but it was still pretty crazy.

People are more likely to hallucinate before going to sleep and after waking up.

Some people refer to what you experienced as an out of body experience, or an Astral Projection. Some people call it being ******* insane.

Yes it can happen. The worst out of body experience I ever had was when I couldn't reconnect the pieces of myself. I had active control of my mind and with extreme effort I was able to utter a mumble loud and disturbing enough for my cousin to wake me. Once she woke me up completely, I regained control of my body but it was slow and scary. Ever since then I've had issues with sleep. Most nights I get 4 or five hours and only if I'm exhausted. I really wish i didn't have to lose consciousness.

Ok after I totally cracked up at the drug jokes, I'm going to help you out Kid.

Assuming you're NOT doing any kind of drugs, This is totally possible.. You're totally dreaming, but it's so real feeling, that you think you weren't.

Sometimes when I'm sleeping I'm dreaming and when I wake up I SWEAR I just fell back into my body. it's totally wierd. I'm not on drugs, but it happens. It's just your brain having like a delayed reaction to you waking up really quickly. it's all good dude.. I know it's kinda freaky, but it's normal

I think your brain is not resting very well at those incidents. I have the same so called awoke dreams throughout my life. You felt awake because this dreams seem to take place where you sleep. Tiredness, stress, anxiety could lead to such events.
