The Germans did attack england and almost beat them but the British fought them off, then Hitler invaded Russia or Operation Barbarossa.

Nope, Russia won Nazi Germany by using it's massive population, it cost them dearly though (20 million) deaths!. The wehrmacht could of destroyed British army at Dunkirk, but Hitler went against his top generals and decided to let them retreat.
