Sweetheart

Sweetheart, no guy has ever called me sweetheart, ever. But plenty of guys have called me "love". You only call someone who you really like sweetheart, you can call aquantinces love though. I get texts from guys I barely know calling me love, because it's a really generic word. They say things like, "Hey, what's up love?" That's not as special as being called sweetheart. Love is turning into the new "baby". & Besides, I only want to hear love when they mean it, as in "I love you".

I would stick with the sweetheart, once in a while you can throw in my love but don't over use the love word, leave it for when you know you truly love someone even if your intentions aren't to say I love you or if they are its best to leave that word for a special moment. (this is coming from a 22 year old's point of view)

Almost every adult/ senior citizen/ pervy weird guy I know has called me sweetheart, it sounds a little generic.

When he calls me love or sweetheart it sounds like hes patronising me. I'd rather be called Princess lol or a pet name that we use between us.
