I was playing basketball yesterday and rebounded the ball with one hand and brought it to my other hand like I normally do but this time when the ball came to my palm, the joint right at the base of my index finger really hurt. I still have use of the finger but I cant grasp anything with it and that area of my palm is swollen. It feels really tight when I bend my finger around my knuckle and the palm of my knuckle but doesnt really hurt to much. Did I brake that part of my hand, sprain or dislocate it?

I just started at a company as a computer technician. The HR lady said that my position required an associates degree and they hired me since I was going to get mine soon. She said that the pay was 30k to 36k but since I didn't have my degree yet they were starting me at 25k. My salary review is in June basically but i get my degree in March. Should I ask for a raise as soon as I get my degree?

I know the most obvious details:

Hard work, Dedication, Ability to follow directions and take orders, Positive attitude and Team attitude.

However, what about the things we can't control:

Favouritism and etc.

I am taking a job at Geek Squad at my Best Buy as a way to get a foot in the door for my tech career. There are six levels in Geek Squad:

COA- Person who makes calls to customers explaining there diagnosis and helping customers on the sales floor

CIA- In-store technician

DCI- Basically the supervisor/manager of the CIA's

Agent-field tech in training

Double-Agent- field tech that supports in home problems.

Special Agent- Technician for business and etc.

I will be obtaining my AAS in Network Administration in December and hope this will speed up the process of promotions but other than that, any other ideas on what i could do to move up as quickly as possible?

this error means that there is something wrong with my file system and or something with my hardrive. I have burned an .iso file to a cd which contains the boot.ini file, NTDETECT.COM command prompt and the NTLDR file. Im wondering, if i have these things on a cd and have the computer boot from the disk drive, will i be able to use the command prompt to run a chkdsk and fix my file system?

i was on a 4 lane road split by a solid yellow line for the oncoming traffic on the other side. I was in the left lane and traffic was slightly backed up. so a little bit further ahead is a turn lane but before the turn lane were the diagonal yellow lines that you can drive on to get to the turn lane if traffic is backed up. As soon as i got to the yellow diagonal line, i turned my signals on and merged into the yellow lines leading to the turn lane and as a did a car come flying by, mind you im in the left lane, so he basically tries to go around me and my left front bumber hit his rear right bumper..is it my fault?

The symptoms started saturday but havent been bad at all. I havent had a sore throat but i have had fevers and felt tired at times and had back aches but that is basically it..does anyone think my symptoms will get worse as the days go on? i have had this for about 5 days now or have noticed it at least for that long.

So my friend Sean has a friend named Katrina and a couple days ago she invited him and i to go to the movies with her and her friend. Supposedly this was to hook up Sean with Katrinas friend and i was just along as a wingman/potential interest for Katrina. Long story short Katrinas friend ended up liking me and now that i have gotten to know her' i like her too. However, Sean thinks that i went behind his back?? He said that they were flirting with eachother but it was on facebook lmao but she actually asked to hang out with me and things took off from there. But am i wrong? or is he over reacting?

Ive been seeing this girl for about two weeks now. Ive made her dinner and she has made desserts and etc. She doesnt mind me putting my arm around her in public or in the movies and i kissed her on the cheek and she didnt mind that either. So i decided that i would ask her to be my girlfriend. Everything inside of me said dont ask but i had to so that i wouldnt end up in the friends zone. So i told her that i really like her and thought she was an amazing girl to be with and asked her to be my girlfriend. She said that it was really sweet of me to ask and that she really liked me too but she wants to take things really slow...what does this mean?? She isnt interested in having a boyfriend now or just wants to be friends??

I have had my interview with the District Manager for Verizon Wirless. Before that interview, i filled out a form with all of my information including my social security number for my background check. My question is: How long should this take? I have no criminal history

I might be getting employed there and i cant find what the discounts are for plans and stuff anywhere.

I am trying to get a job at verizon. I have had two phone interviews and a store interview. After the last interview, i was told about the next step in the process, which is having a in person interview with the HR. I was told that i was going to get a phone call but that has been 2 and a half weeks ago and i have tried to do a follow up on the situation and i leave my number for her to contact me but it seems as though..either she isnt getting my number or she doesnt want to call me back. Should i keep trying to get in contact or would that hurt my chances of getting hired?
