Follow up on job interview?
I am trying to get a job at verizon. I have had two phone interviews and a store interview. After the last interview, i was told about the next step in the process, which is having a in person interview with the HR. I was told that i was going to get a phone call but that has been 2 and a half weeks ago and i have tried to do a follow up on the situation and i leave my number for her to contact me but it seems as though..either she isnt getting my number or she doesnt want to call me back. Should i keep trying to get in contact or would that hurt my chances of getting hired?

You have two options.
The first one is to send an e-mail with your phone number in it thanking them for their time and interest in you as a candidate. Reference your resume again and re-touch on the strong points of your personality.
(i.e. "As I said before, my summer internship at At&t really showed me how to excel on the floor. Also, my reference told you how I boosted sales 15% in just two months...")
The other option is to walk in there and ask to see a manager face to face. Once they come out, introduce yourself and thank them again for their time.
Ignoring phone calls is easy. Ignoring someone with the right drive and persistence is a little more difficult.
Hope this helps!

Yes. He needs to sit back and wait. Sometimes it takes weeks or months. Welcome to the real world. Did he write a hand written note to thank them? In the age of email that is good he did that. I know my husband (we are young) got a job because the boss was impressed with a handwritten thank you. Just a suggestion for next time.

I would go back to the store in person, several times, if necessary, depending on how badly you want the position. I nothing else, it demonstrates your sincerity about becoming an employee...

keep follwoing up with her every two weeks for a coupla months. If after then they still don't call back, that's ur cue to back off.
