What to give as a thank you gift (I have a BIG thank you to give)?
So about two months ago, I landed the best job I've ever had with the best boss IN THE WORLD. I work for a British auto repair shop where we work on Land Rovers, Jaguars, and Mini Coopers and boss is giving me a 2003 Land Rover Freelander free and clear as a bonus (freakin awesome right?!).
So my question is, what kind of thank you gift do you give to someone who gives you a gift of that magnitude? He is very well off and basically owns it if he likes it so I'm stuck for an answer. I'm open to any and all suggestions (that don't involve being crude please).
To anyone who is tempted to give me the quick, easy immature reponse that suggest anything sexual, save it. I'm not amused, and I think it's lame, and I'm certainly not a whore.
I can''t decide on best answer so I'm leaving it up to you... thanks to you all for your help!!!

WOW, what an AWESOME bonus! Congrats :)
All the gifts listed are pretty good, what I would suggest is that no matter what the actual gift is, that you accompany it with a heartfelt thank you note expressing your gratitude. To someone who seems to have everything, I think the note will really go a long way.

How about a nice dress watch..maybe a gift certificate to a gym (if he works out) Tickets to a Sporting event or a play...a night club with a celebrity entertainment. A week end away..a fishing trip..
Most of my suggestions are a BIG THANK YOU..if you can afford it. People that have money would never think of most of the suggestions.
Good luck!!!!

It doesn't have to be extravagant or anything to let them know just how much you appreciate the gift. Why not make a really special dinner and invite your boss and their partner over . Then you can spoil them that evening with fancy wine etc.

I'd send a flower arrangement. Something considered exotic would be interesting since the cars you deal with are. Maybe a bunch of orchids and a nice bottle of wine with a thank you card.
