  • Above Ground Pool Maintenance?

About a month ago, we put up a18'x9'x52" above ground pool and have spent more time trying to correct ph and chlorine levels then we have actually enjoying the pool. We live in Las Vegas, NV and I don't know if the weather is playing a large roll, but the pump is constantly running. I have done research and every time I think that I have a handle on the situation, I don't. Today, for instance, after shocking the pool last night, the ph level was down, so I put ph+ in the pool and now it's cloudy again. Is there any website for dummies to put this in easy to follow instructions for above ground pools? About to loose my mind and just take the thing down.

  • Neutered dog with balls?

So when my dog is happy he rolls over, showing his stomach and his doggy penis is doing it's doggy thing. While it is, it looks like he grows a pair when he is happy. Am I crazy? It was my understanding those get taken away when they are neutered. My pup is 6mos. old, & German Shepherd/Rottweiler mixed.

My favorite question to ask anyone with an iphone is...

    What is your favorite app?

Mine is Urban Spoon. It has cut down my nightly debate of "whats for dinner" considerably.

  • Does Anyone Know Why Mabelline Colossal Mascara Stinks So Bad?

I thought I would give this mascara a shot, and I like the effect, but it smells like bug spray to me, and the smell lingers for like 5 minutes after I put it on. Does this mascara naturally smell this bad, and if so, why? Is it the collagen, or did I somehow grab an expired mascara?

  • PLEASE HELP!! I need Thank You Gift Ideas?

So about two months ago, I landed the best job I've ever had with the best boss IN THE WORLD. I work for a British auto repair shop where we work on Land Rovers, Jaguars, and Mini Coopers and boss is giving me a 2003 Land Rover Freelander free and clear as a bonus (freakin awesome right?!).

So my question is, what kind of thank you gift do you give to someone who gives you a gift of that magnitude? He is very well off and basically owns it if he likes it so I'm stuck for an answer. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

To anyone who is tempted to give me the quick, easy immature reponse that suggest anything sexual, save it. I'm not amused, I think it's lame, and I'm certainly not a whore.

  • I need the BEST anti-virus/internet security software... PLEASE HELP!?

I am looking for the best anti virus / internet security program. I am not interested in Norton's or any other Symantec product. After being referred to Kaspersky, I read postings in the forum section of their website and I am not sure that Kaspersky would be a good fit as our new computer runs on Vista, and they seem to have A LOT of customer complaints.

The reason I ask is because I run a 2 computer small business office and last week our main computer completely crashed and we had to buy a new computer (hence why it is running on Vista). I want something that is user friendly but will ACTUALLY protect our computers. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

  • I have a make up question?

I'm in need of a new foundation for my face. I have red blotchy skin so I need a full coverage make-up that doesn't feel heavy on your face. I've used Mac, Este Lauder, Makeup Forever, & currently Bare Essentials. I love the Bare Estentials because of the way it looks & sits, but my only problem is that the jars are small, & for $30, it doesn't last very long. I've used Este Lauder forever, and even though it sits kind of heavy, the bottle always lasted me at least two months. Any suggestions that I could take with me to Saphora tommorrow would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • What are the best places to live in the following states?

    Washington

    Colorado

    Oregon

    New York

    North Carolina

    Virginia

My husband and I are looking to relocate and get the hell out of Las Vegas within the next two years or so, and we've narrowed down which states we think we would be best for us. However, we are having a hard time finding information on these states concerning the better areas to live in. We're looking for a place to settle down, buy a home that we can appreciate, and raise a family in a good community. We are also looking to have the benefits of living in a city or living within a reasonable distance to a city that offers culture, employment, & a decent cost of living, as well as other things. Any advice or links to websites is greatly appreciated.

  • Advice PLZ!?

So this is a multi-part question. I got contact lenses for the first time in my life today (I've been wearing glasses for like 12 years). My questions are...

Are your eyes usually blood shot & irritated when you first get them? I expected some irritation.. but I didn't expect my eyes to get so blood shot. If so.. is there any kind of eye drops out there that will help sooth it (my optometrist gave me some but my eyes are still irritated)?

This part is for ladies... I have nails and though it wasn't easy putting them in, I never expected it to be so hard taking them out... any advice?

  • Cat peeing on the couch?

I have a FEMALE 10 mo. old kitten that, as of tonight, has peed on the couch twice now. The first time we were pretty sure she had done it (we have 2 other cats that have NEVER peed in anything but their boxes), but I caught her in the act tonight. Their cat boxes are clean, but she has yet to be fixed (it's time, I know). Any suggestions as to what will make her stop other then putting her in her litter box (which I did) that will make her stop doing this? I've never had a female cat start peeing in places other then her box as a territorial thing, so I'm not sure if it's a matter of having her fixed.

  • Need Advise... Plz!?

I just started a new job at a grocery retailer (my first day was Sunday.. Mother's Day). On top of a few things that I can work through (like being thrown into chaos with absolutely no training, working 8.5 hours with only 2-10 minute breaks... (which, is against the law where I am from) I was scheduled to be off today. I made plans to run errands, pay bills, and then have dinner with my In Laws, being that I worked through Mother's Day, and wanted to take them to dinner with my husband. When I got home, around 8:30pm, there was a message from earlier in the day asking me to come into work, but if I couldn't make it, to please call, just to let them know. When I called to apologize for not getting the message earlier, the manager that answered said, "That's ok, you can come in now". I told her that wasn't possible, as I have had more then a couple of drinks and didn't think it was a good idea, she then stated "That's okay, as long as you don't smell like alcohol, no one will be here that you will get in trouble with". I told her that I don't know that I don't smell like alcohol but I was definitely not going to come to work under the influence of alcohol. She then said "No, you sound fine, you need to come to work", I told her that I was only calling to apologize for not getting the message sooner, but I will not be coming into work intoxicated. It is company policy and I had to take an alcohol/drug test to get the job. My question is this. I am a part of a union, and want to know just what I should do. I have every intension of taking this to the store director, but in the same, can they write me up for not coming in. Further more should I tell them that if they schedule me to be off, then don't call me to come in? I have a very busy life outside of work. If I have nothing planned, I don't mind giving a helping hand, but I feel as though if you schedule me off, I have a right to my life.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Christians? Is someone who does nothing but post rude and hypocritical statements here on YA, a good...?

Representation of your faith? Out of curiosity, I was wondering what other Christians thought about the person on here ( Leanne/Leanne M/Rapture 2007/ & currently, Can't Stand Wiccans) that does nothing but viciously attack all that she does not know. I have known a lot of people from different backgrounds in my life, and have to say that most people, of many different religions, are very respectful of each other and can have a decent debate/conversation in regards to their beliefs. I have also run into people such as Leanne, that call themselves devout, yet seem to be completely spiteful of anyone who has a different belief, and I was just curious as to what other Christians may think about this type of behavior in regards to it being representative of their religion.

I just made it to level 3 (woohoo). So what do you get out of being a level 3 answerer? Is there somewhere on here that states what the differences are for each level?

  • 50th B-day?

Any suggestions on something nice to get my mom that my brother and I can go in on together (we're adults btw, so we're looking at spending a bit).

*We don't live in the same state as our mom, so spending an afternoon with lunch and shopping, and all that won't do.
