Above Ground Pool Maintenance?
About a month ago, we put up a18'x9'x52" above ground pool and have spent more time trying to correct ph and chlorine levels then we have actually enjoying the pool. We live in Las Vegas, NV and I don't know if the weather is playing a large roll, but the pump is constantly running. I have done research and every time I think that I have a handle on the situation, I don't. Today, for instance, after shocking the pool last night, the ph level was down, so I put ph+ in the pool and now it's cloudy again. Is there any website for dummies to put this in easy to follow instructions for above ground pools? About to loose my mind and just take the thing down.
@ Frogman Five 3 to 6. Thank you so much for your advise. I will get a more sophisticated tester and try to trouble shoot. I've had a feeling that the pump that came with the pool isn't strong enough for it. Do you have a suggestion on the pump system that would give me the best results, for the size pool that I have? Right now, the one that's on there is a cartridge filter with a 115 volt pump. Thank you again so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
@ "YES, there are lots of them, but the "dummies" as YOU call them have to go to google and look it up themselves"
This dummy has already googled the issue and combed through the resources, which is why I am asking here, on answers, something of which you obviously have not provided. If you have nothing but smart *** comments to make and no help to offer, then why answer? Is your life really that boring and unfulfilled? Thanks for being Captain Obvious. I'm sure that your wit is useful to someone

if you have hard water or softened water it makes a difference. check out this website.. It is the best I have ever seen and I have worked on pools for 35 years. those 2 test Cl and pH test kits are no good you need at least 5 water chemical tests to stay ahead of those problem. the 2 test kits are good for good water but when it reads funny or the water looks funny go to the big boy tester. Is it a sand filter or DE ? or even a cartridge type. is your pump up to the rate of filtration you really need ? there are a bunch of variables to look at ! .... gunner4440 at gmail .... I can get you through this

You must get help for the preliminary mounted and figure out what items will need common substitute. Filter, chlorine, bacteria killer and so forth. It is allot of work to hold it smooth, so find a pool cover in case you reside around bushes. It can be fun, however again breaking work too.
