Did you love or hate the new Star Trek?

Normally, I am a mitch (substitute "m" for "b") about these things and wouldn't like the new one but I actually did like it. I think it kept the same spirit and it isn't like Star Trek hasn't been known to do a little time future altering move before. I wasn't too thrilled about the Spock Uhura love interest due to Spock's seven year nature but hey, everything else was good.

What do you think?

In my opinion, excellent! It had great acting, a great story, and well developed characters. The thing I found also really appealing about it was that it had references to the show for all those familiar with the material, but it can also be enjoyed by new viewers who don't know much about Star Trek. All in all it is only challenged by Wrath of Khan at being the best Star Trek movie.

I liked it, The only gripes I had were:

    1. Kelvin and most Engineering scenes looked too industrial, like they were shot in the engine room of a tramp freighter.

    2. Did not like the orgaing flow of the secondary hull, too much like TNG Ent-D, nore the nacells.

But other than that, I loved the movie, and the Uhura/Spock love interest did not bother me.
