Is there a device to boost the landline telephone signal that goes through the wires to the telephone company?

When people call my house they say i sound distant. I've changed the Phones that are attached to the phone cord. Anyway to boost the signal in the line like people do with cable signals?

    No! BUT you can get AMPLIFIED telephones and headsets, try RADIO SHACK, or on line

    Call the phone company and let them hear how you sound, I'm not sure if they make what you are looking for.

    Add on, loaj the problem is in the outgoing, no need for a amp on the receiver side.
